Five AFoCR Directors and Advisors Attended Gala Dinner by CERGE EI
Five AFoCR directors and advisors attended a gala dinner by CERGE EI at Bohemian Hall in New York City. CERGE EI, an acronym for Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education - Economic Institute, is one of the most esteemed centers of economic education in the Czech Republic. Speakers at the panel preceding the dinner included noted economist Jan Švejnar and Paul Krugman. AFoCR supported CERGE EI with a financial contribution of $5,000 for its scholarship program. An alumni award was given to Michaela Erbenová, Deputy Director at the International Monetary Fund. During AFoCR’s last parliamentarian program, Erbenová hosted a meeting at IMF headquarters in Washington, D.C., with our visiting Czech MPs.
