New Directors Join AFoCR

We are pleased to welcome Major General Daryl Bohac and Professor Michael Svec as our newest directors.

Maj. Gen. Bohac recently retired from the position of the Adjutant General of the Nebraska National Guard, Lincoln, Nebraska. General Bohac was commissioned in 1988 at the Air National Guard Academy of Military Science, McGhee-Tyson Air National Guard Base, Tennessee. Prior to receiving his commission, General Bohac served as an enlisted member of the United States Marine Corps Reserve and the Nebraska Air National Guard.

General Bohac played a significant role in strengthening the collaboration between the Nebraska National Guard and the Czech Army who have recently celebrated a 30-year anniversary of collaboration within the National Guard’s State Partnership Program.

Dr. Michael Svec is a Professor of Education at Furman University, Greenville, South Carolina.  Of Czech heritage, Mike Svec born in a Chicago suburb with a large Czech community. His educational journey included a Fulbright scholarship to study in the Czech Republic.  Mike has traveled to the CR about 20 times over the years. He has also been leading student study trips and maintaining close contacts with several Czech universities.
